Well, it was the first day back to Term 2 today. It wasn't all that bad, except that I had Legal Studies first up... There's nothing wrong with the subject, it's just that I've already learnt everything the teacher is going through, and with the stuff I haven't learnt she's gone through it at least twice... so the subject is good, it's just the teacher that's bad.

Then sport... volleyball is alright. It's just the people who you play against. But I got hungry. And when I go hungry, I go hyper. So yes, at recess, I was hyper. Watch out. I think I was talking a bit too fast....

So I was hyper in maths. Speaking of maths, we have maths homework. T_T I actually remembered. Someone, give me a cookie!!

After maths, we had an excursion. Yeap, excursion on the first day back. Interesting, isn't it? Well, after finding out my pepper got wet and was of no use, I asked people if they had any pepper. Well, none of them did. I asked Mr Hanna. He didn't have any. My response? I believe it was along the lines of "You suck.". Yes, I am rebel. Although I do not look like it. Looks can be deceiving you know.

Heheheheheh. Well, we met up with the vice-chancellor of Curtin Uni. Got free food and drinks. And Freebies. There was many (ok, only two) Kodak moments. First off was of Freddy stirring his tea/coffee with the spoon, then lifting it up to take a sip. In a very elegant manner. The other? Vinny-chan stretched out in a chair (that was randomly placed there so it looked out of place), ankles crossed, elbows resting on the armrests, holding a cup of coffee with the saucer. Yes, a Kodak moment. People should serve out tea and coffee more often. Even though the tea was apparently crap (I wouldn't know, I didn't drink any. But now that I think of it, saying that the tea is crap when we're only 14/15 is pretty scary...).

All in all, it wasn't a bad day back. Except that I though Mrs Hind was going to be the bus driver. It somehow reminded me of the Mrs Chow-lookalike at Darwin on the solar car trip. No one tell her that. T_T

And yes, now that I've updated my iTunes Libary (with regards to Angelyn) I am now currently trying to Bluetooth new songs over to my phone. Trying being the key word. And that reminds me, the get-together on Saturday was crazy. Disrupting someone doing homework much? Oh yeah, my maths homework. Hmmm.... well, apparently the guy had to read the same line three times because we kept laughing.... But I now have 5GBs of music to listen to on my iPod. xD

Yesh yesh. Kudos to Sheryl for finding this blog!! It took her awhile but she found it. But now there's a question for her to ask. How did she find it? Was it by my profile, or was it by the link? But the answer to that is obvious since no-one actually checks the profile any more and when I first created an account, this blog didn't exist and she wouldn't bother checking it again.
. . . .
Phoenix Wright is getting to my head . . . .
"My powers of deduction are not to be underestimated!"

T_T

Anyway, back to what was interesting. It was Leigha's birthday yesterday {Happy Birthday Leigha!!!} and in one half of her birthday was going to Sizzlers for dinner. Now what happens when 17 (mostly immature) teenagers gather up in one place, ready to party? Chaos. Of sorts.

First off, we were cuing to pay separately (not altogether though. Can you imagine all the money issues we'll have later? And the boys looked saved when I told them I bought cards -.-"). So technically, we're altogether, but we're paying individually. And as of that moment, we have 16 people. So it was 16 people trying to pay... you can imagine how long that took. I swear more than three families went past us. Yesh. Anyway. After waiting for the Sizzlers to push some tables together for us {it was kinda funny. Our table looked so out of place}. Well, we all got drinks, even though some of us didn't pay for it :D It's all good. xD

Then, Alex, Daniel, Harry, Fred, Adam and Damian starting hogging the potato cones. My sister wasn't happy because she missed out on the first go -.- I think this kid wasn't happy because he wanted potato cones but there wasn't any left, thanks to the boys. Then I found out the Alex, Harry and Damian got steak and chips....which has me wondering, "what is up with guys and steak?". But Fred got the tempura thingy which is pretty good. He gave me some {in other words: I took some without permission} which I dipped in sauce {which he passed to me after I asked for some}. Isn't Freddy the best? xD
Oh yeah, by the way. You know how there's a drinks station thingy there? Well, you can get any Solo because the things broken. AND it's the ONLY Solo one there. And I happen to want Solo.....it sucks.

And now it was time to make the "concoction" for the loser of Big 2 to drink/somehow swallow. At first, it actually smelt okay because someone mixed lemon in there. It was only half a cup at then. Then it somehow got to a full cup. Then Avi put ice-cream on top with sprinkles so it looked nice. Can't say anything about the smell though. Although her straw poking skills are anything to talk about. When Damian tried to poke it through properly, lets just say it wouldn't go any further.....and the straw actually bent.... Then all sorts of desserts went in... and Leigha said if Avi put one more thing is there, she'll have to drink it. Lets just say Avi couldn't help herself and put another thing in. But she refused to drink it though. So now it was Big 2 without having to drink/eat anything.
And it was surprising that we weren't kicked out. Although we had a feeling about that when they gave us mints ....

Yeap, so then we went to Big W (or "Big" as the "W" wasn't lighted up and it was late-night shopping). Harry bought a "Nobby Ball". You know, one of those balls with little spikes sticking out. Then we went back to the outside of Sizzlers, playing Nobby Ball. In other words, try and keep the ball up in the air without it touching the ground. It was fun. Especially when Damian chuck it, and hit a car that was going past. Lets just say in the instant the ball hit the car, several people went down to the ground, laughing their asses off. I didn't. I had too much dignity to do so and it was the fact that I was wearing my boots. So yeah...

Then Damian realised he didn't have a lift back home and Alyson {who he always gets lifts from} wasn't there. Pft. Too bad he didn't have the key.

So there you have it. Well, it wasn't so bad. I mean, Adam still ate his beetroot and didn't get Damian to eat it. The vanilla ice-cream ran out. Big 2 didn't have a stake in it. And a salt shaker on our table didn't have any salt in it by the time we got out, and it was full when we started.....Don't ask where all the salt went. Lets just say some of us like our food/drinks salty.

Lets just hope that this doesn't deter you from Sizzlers. But then again, it was 17 teenagers.

Have fun!

Yeppers. Well, it's not as bad as you might think it'll be. Just S+E, Legal Studies and English to do...

Although I think that I might be able to finish S+E by tomorrow. Even though I started procrastinating very badly halfway today, I got a lot done. Over 1000 words. I'm a big girl now. :p

Yeah yeah. Anyway, lets get to the stuff. Can't wait for Leigha's birthday. I'm so hyped up, I'm even going to paint my nails! xD

Yeappers. It's nearly nail painting time!!

But for now, work....

Yesh, well, it has been ages since I went out and ate dim sum (because I was in school every time my family went) so I went this Wednesday. Tried out a new restaurant (it wasn't bad. It's next to Northbridge Chinese Restaurant if you're interested). Yadda yadda yadda, we ate, we finished.

Now here comes the good part.

Straight after, my parents dragged me over to HBF. Thing is, they're were just walking around trying to find "Mary St". After taking a look for myself, it clicked in my mind that they were trying to find "Murray St". -.- And they had no idea where it was.
So I took charge. And I found the goddamn HBF place. And what do my parents do to reward me? They get me to translate. With my dad getting increasingly angry, and my mum making a fool out of herself we left the building (after half an hour). What happened after that is history and never to be mentioned again.

Just when I thought we were going home, I thought it was a bit weird that dad was going the long way back. Turns out we were looking at cars. And we weren't replacing that big family car *cough* van *cough* that was older than I am. Nope. They were looking for a car for my brother. Well, at least I think it's for my brother, because mum kept worrying how he won't fit into the car. Yeah. And before you ask, yes, I had to translate for them ... again.

"Lei gor jun mun hou char, lei mjidou ah?"
"Or jidou hou char, lei de jidou hou char, yimae lei jidou, gunjou souw sen ah. Bei or de sigan numha de ye lah."

Before I start, I do realise I haven't gotten a cbox. I just cbs at the moment. Nor some point later in life... alright, maybe not that drastic but yeah, you get the picture. Now, prepare for a sometimes very detailed and sometimes very vague account of my Habour Town trip.

After having a bad night sleep (couldn't get to sleep for two hours straight, woke up at 4am), I got up about 6:30 (and my brother was already awake and moving about). I made and ate my breakfast, and basically got ready to leave the house at 7:30 (should I tell you that I wake up at 7:30 on a school day?). Armed with my new, super awesome bag and wearing my super awesome boots that were made for walking, I marched (you get the picture) to the bus stop listening to music (in other words, X Japan). Along the way, I saw a sign on the back of a rubbish truck stating, "Speeding is safe? Rubbish". Very nice, don't you think? I didn't have to wait long for the bus (surprisingly, as we all know Transperth is pretty dodgy) and got to Bullcreek station with no mishaps (except for that business guy who decided to sit next to me when there were plenty of other seats behind me... do you reckon he's a stalker or something?), I waited and waited for Kate to call me saying that she, her mum and little brother, Sheryl and Jess were on the train so I could be on the same train as them. I think about four trains went past before I got a call, but it was all good as I have a wonderful piece of technology called an iPod. Now, you'd think that since it's so early in the morning, there would be hardly anyone boarding the train to Perth. Was I ever so wrong, as heaps of people were trying to get to uni and work... I just got on the train as the doors were closing (I was standing on the yellow part of the floor, meaning I wasn't supposed to stand there but meh, and the doors close really slow...). And another piece of evidence that Transperth is dodgy is giving out 50c fares when it's school holidays, not that I really mind.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.... We then got off and walked (yes, walked) to Habour Town. Apparently, it was to pass (waste) time so we didn't have to wait for the shops to open. Too bad, because even when we got to Habour Town, shops were still closed but Gloria Jean's was open. So we went there. And none of us got actual caffeine in our drinks (god, can you imagine us on a caffeine high?), but my stampy card thing got three extra stamps thanks to Sheryl, Kate and her little brother (even though Kate's name got spelt "Kte"). Well, after I finished my drink (because I was the slowest even though I got my drink first), we all started to shop! Even though Kate's lil bro got bored during our first major stop at Valleygirl. But I bought a butterfly top there! The rest is kind of a blur, so I'll skip to after lunch.

Since everyone but me decided to get ice-cream or a muffin in Kate's case (I would of gotten ice-cream but they didn't have green tea ice-cream there! It's heresy I say!), they weren't allowed to go into shops (No food or drinks to be consumed, la di da di da). So I just kinda went in and out (quite literally, actually) of stores. Until I got to Jays Jays. Then I started looking. Blah blah blah, I got another top.

Eheheheheh, then we went to Ever Forever. When I had fond out that I have become the unofficial fashionista of the group (excluding Kate's lil bro of course).

Meh meh... But here comes the really good part. I get back home, and the first thing I get said to me is, "Go check the fuel price on the internet."
A great way of ending a day, isn't it?

Constructive criticism, you flame I flame back hotter. Other than that, tell me what to improve on, what you like, what you don't like, or what you just think of the story. I feedback is well-liked here.

The word count is like, 1088 or something like that. Shouldn't take too long to read. In other words, you have no excuse!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The snake that swallowed

It just sat there. It wasn’t doing anything. Nothing. Nothing at all. All the others have gone, but this one was still there, not moving. Letting things wash over it. Because it was sitting there.

I was being bumped, pushed, shoved and nudged. Damn people today. Don’t even bother to say a quick “sorry” over their shoulder or give a thought to others. Well, I’m not in a hurry. I still got some time before the bus comes. The bus stop came into view on the other side of the road as I was walking slowly, in contrast to the bustle of other people around me. Hell, what got up their butt and died? I just got up to the traffic light waiting for the red man to turn green like how those cars that were packed like sardines were waiting for the green light, most of them giving off that disgusting smog that I could taste it in the air. Idly leaning against the pole and trying to ignore the smell, I closed my eyes. Not a very smart move with sweaty human bodies everywhere, you never know if one of them could have a very quick hand. Thinking that, my eyes flew open. Good thing too, that’s my bus screeching to a halt at the stop. As the brakes gave off a slight hiss, I got myself ready to run across the road for a mad dash. But the cars were faster the first few shot straight ahead, accelerating so fast I would have gotten whiplash if I tried to follow them with my eyes. But the cars behind were going just as fast, so that it looked like one fluid chain. But it went as fast as it came. I ran as fast as I could over the road, heading over to the bus. I can’t afford to miss this one… but there’s the one after this one…No, I got to get this one. The boss won’t tolerate it. Not after last time. I’m so close to it. I can hear it. It darted forward, closing its doors as it did so. Within seconds the nose dove into the corner, the rest of it following, in one fluid movement. I stood still, people were jostling me. It was only when some insanely tall guy nearly knocked me out that I got back into my senses. Alright then, be that way. I’ll go get a taxi to take me there. Looking down the street, I grinned. What luck, there’s a taxi heading right here. Bull yeah. I hailed the taxi, stepping down from the curb, waiting expectantly for the taxi to stop. It sped straight by me following the rest of the cars. I sat down. Dude, what the hell? What have I done to deserve this type of treatment? I haven’t done anything. People went around me, cars ignored me. It was like I never existed.

“You’re fired!”
Those words echoed around my mind. God, I was only five minutes late this time. No need to get your panties in a twist. Doesn’t matter, it’ll be easy to find a new job within this crazily big city. I mean, how hard can it be? There’s got to be one vacant job I can get… right?

“I’m sorry sir, but you do not meet the qualifications for this job. Have a nice day.”
News flash, just because I didn’t go to university doesn’t mean I can’t get the job done.
“What? You want a job? Get real man, and get out of here.”
Discrimination much?
“Oh, I’m sorry dude. But that vacant spot just got taken, I was just going to put the sign down.”
Urgh, I hate my life.

Okay, so it’s not as easy. I’ve been looking for seven hours. SEVEN! And what do I get? Nothing. Nil. Nada. And now my feet are all sore and hot from all that walking that I swear that they will give off a hiss if I dunk them in water and steam will rise from it. Ew, gross…

I get home, yawning, tired, aching, and plopped down onto the couch, not wanting to do anything. Maybe a nice hot, steaming cup of tea will help me relax. The water made a slight whisper as it went inside the kettle. Turning the tap off and flicking the switch on the kettle, I got my favourite cup and tea out before reaching for the phone. Dialling a number I know very well, I waited for the person to pick up.
“Hello?”
I smiled.
“Hey, it’s me.”
A sigh on the other side of the phone.
“Oh, hey.”
Steam rose from the kettle.
“What have you been up to?” I asked as I poured the water into the cup.
“Nothing much. Just work.”
A pause.
“Hey, can I call you back later? I’m kinda busy at the moment.”
Silence. Then a beep. Then another beep. And another.
Putting the phone back on its cradle, I looked down at the cup of tea. A wisp of steam unfurled itself from the surface and rose into the air, until it disappeared. But more steam was coming out, replacing the ones that disappear into the air. It was one continuous line. Always unfurling, like my troubles. Always disappearing, like my friends and opportunities. Here I am, stuck behind all of my friends, with no job to pay for anything. And there are my friends, with happy lives and successful careers they are pursuing. No one is waiting for me to catch up. Not when they can still go ahead. Never when they can still go further ahead.

The body moved smoothly, approaching its prize, its eyes never leaving it once. The egg sat unblemished. Not a single crack on the delicate shell. It tasted the air, making a slight hiss as it did. It moved closer to its reward, its body faintly rustling the undergrowth. It was there now, the long continuous body coiled up and its head lowered, still staring straight at it. It opened its mouth, and suddenly dove its head towards the egg with the rest of its body following in one fluid movement as it unfurled; the snake’s mouth engulfed the reward and swallowed the egg. The world does not wait for that egg that waited.

Sunday, April 13, 2008

Well, after thinking to myself various thoughts such as:

"Nah, I can't be stuffed making a social blog, my school blog can act as a double."
"Too lazy . . . and I'm not procrastinating. Because I'm folding origami here! See? *shows random bits of rectangular strips of paper folded into a triangle*"
"I'll probably won't post . . . but then again, I probably will."
"I don't want to think of another blog name and a URL."

And for some unknown reason, I decided to make one. You never know, because I made (another) one, I would feel obliged to post here.
And if anyone is thinking what the hell this blog's name means, just look at my school blog's name and you should be able to find the link to connect . . .
And since I've bothered to create this, I might as well get a cbox . . .
Oh god, so much work . . .T.T

Meh, better get off my procrastinating ass and get started.
